I am Rio Takeda, and I am thrilled to be sponsored by the Fujifilm Group.
Being a Kumamoto native, which is also home to Fujifilm’s semiconductor and display materials factory, and also being an instax™ hobbyist, I feel I have a special connection with the Fujifilm Group.
I was truly impressed to discover how at the Fujifilm Group, each employee is guided by their personal aspirations to take on global challenges.
My aspiration is to live by the “you can do it if you try” mindset. This is the spirit I wish to carry with me during my LPGA tournaments. I would love your support!

This week was the International Team Competition!
It was a lot of fun playing in a team format, different from usual.
I had a great experience collaborating with the Japanese team members!
I really enjoyed my two weeks in Korea! 😃

We also played Word Wolf and a game where we guessed song titles—it was a great time!

Rio’s Aspiration
- My dream is to win an LPGA major.
I want my games to bring smiles to people. - Under its Group Purpose of “Giving our world more smiles,” the Fujifilm Group has engaged in a wide range of sports initiatives. In July 2024, the Group signed a sponsorship agreement with professional golfer Rio Takeda. In her third year as a pro, Rio attained her first win at the start of the 2024 season, went on to claim eight victories in total, and also became leading money-winner in JLPGA tour. Now in 2025, she is embracing the challenge of playing in LPGA tour with her sights set on becoming a golfer who brings smiles to people around the globe. We sat down with Rio — now competing in sportswear featuring the Fujifilm corporate brand and instax™ logo — to talk about her aspirations and the journey that has brought her to this point.

- TOTO Japan Classic
Rio will compete in the TOTO Japan Classic, taking place from November 6 to 9 at the Seta Golf Course in Shiga Prefecture. This tournament is the only official LPGA event held in Japan, and Rio, as the defending champion, will be aiming to defend her title. Please look forward to her great play and smile!

- Tied for 10th at the BMW Ladies Championship
Rio participated in the BMW Ladies Championship, part of the LPGA Tour, held at Pine Beach Golf Links in Korea from October 16 to 19. She delivered an excellent performance, staying near the top of the leaderboard from the very first day, and finished tied for 10th place.
