Rio’s Aspiration

My dream is to win an LPGA major.
I want my games to bring smiles to people.

Under its Group Purpose of “Giving our world more smiles,” the Fujifilm Group has engaged in a wide range of sports initiatives. In July 2024, the Group signed a sponsorship agreement with professional golfer Rio Takeda. In her third year as a pro, Rio attained her first win at the start of the 2024 season, went on to claim eight victories in total, and also became leading money-winner in JLPGA tour. Now in 2025, she is embracing the challenge of playing in LPGA tour with her sights set on becoming a golfer who brings smiles to people around the globe. We sat down with Rio — now competing in sportswear featuring the Fujifilm corporate brand and instax™ logo — to talk about her aspirations and the journey that has brought her to this point.
