FUJIFILM Holdings’ Chairman, Director & Board Chairman Kenji Sukeno will receive Japan’s Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star

TOKYO, November 5, 2024 – FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation is pleased to announce that Kenji Sukeno, Chairman, Director & Board Chairman, will receive the prestigious Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star for the 2024 Autumn Conferment of Decoration.

The Order of the Rising Sun, Gold and Silver Star is a distinguished recognition awarded by the Japanese government to individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the nation or the public interest. In his role as President and Representative Director of FUJIFILM Corporation, which has transformed its core business despite the wave of digitalization, Mr. Sukeno’s leadership has laid strong foundation for growth by strategically investing in the healthcare field, which has been the company’s focus. The bold investments in building robust manufacturing capabilities for ensuring a stable supply of biopharmaceuticals meet the rising global demand and establish Fujifilm as a top-tier producer in the bio-CDMO industry. As Chairman of the Photo-sensitized Materials Manufacturers Association (now Japan Photo Imaging Association), he has dedicated himself to the development of the photographic industry, and as Chairman of the Japan Environmental Management Association for Industry, he has addressed the various issues in the environmental field in the industrial sector.
The ceremony is scheduled to be held at the Imperial Palace on November 6.
