TOKYO, July 25, 2024 – FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation today announces that it has become a regular member of the Japan Center for Engagement and Remedy on Business and Human Rights (JaCER), an organization that provides a non-judicial “Engagement and Remedy Platform” that complies with the United Nations’ Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights. This platform aims to promote engagement and remedy by supporting and enhancing member companies' grievance redress efforts from a professional perspective.
The Fujifilm Group Charter for Corporate Behavior and Code of Conduct outlines the common standards that all executives and employees of FUJIFILM Holdings and its group companies should adhere to, declaring respect for all human rights. In the Fujifilm Group Human Rights Statement, we have positioned respect for all human rights as the fundamental basis of our business operations, and we expect all business partners involved in providing our products and services to comply with this statement.
The decision to join JaCER was made to strengthen the response to human rights issues, particularly within the supply chain. With JaCER providing third-party support, we aim to further enhance fairness and transparency of our grievance mechanisms and provide access to remedies for a wider range of stakeholders.
The Fujifilm Group will continue to strengthen its efforts to respect human rights, pursuing the realization of our group purpose, "Giving our world more smiles."
