FUJIFILM Holdings Named to CDP “A List” for Leadership in Climate Change and Water Security

TOKYO, December 15, 2025 – FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation announces that the company is named to the prestigious annual “CDP*1 A List” for leadership in climate change and water security. This marks the company’s fifth inclusion in the climate change category over four consecutive years and its sixth inclusion in the water security category.

In recent years, global risks related to climate change and water resources continue to intensify. As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) plan, “Sustainable Value Plan 2030,” the Fujifilm Group is advancing initiatives in four priority environmental areas: addressing climate change, promoting resource recycling, conserving biodiversity, and ensuring product and chemical safety. To address climate change, the Fujifilm Group has set targets: to achieve net-zero GHG emissions from operations (Scope 1 and 2)*2 by fiscal year 2040 and to reduce GHG emissions across the entire product life cycle*3 by 50% (compared to fiscal year 2019 level*4) by fiscal year 2030.

Progress toward these targets includes improving energy efficiency, expanding renewable energy use, and developing products and services through the design processes aimed at reducing environmental impact. For water stewardship, the company has conducted water risk assessments at all global sites, reduced water intake, and promoted recycling since fiscal year 2014. Furthermore, Fujifilm collaborates with local communities to conserve water resources in regions where it operates. Examples include initiatives to maintain and restore water recharge forests and fields, such as projects in Kumamoto Prefecture Japan.

“Being recognized as an A List company in Climate Change and Water Security reflects the progress we have made under our Sustainable Value Plan 2030.” says Chisato Yoshizawa, director, corporate vice president, general manager of ESG Division at FUJIFILM Holdings Corporation. “Since our founding, we have implemented environmental conservation initiatives, and we remain committed to advancing lower-impact production and developing innovative products to help address global challenges such as decarbonization and water resource conservation.”
